I’ve been doing this weight-loss thing for a whole year. That’s weird.
In this video, I look back on how far I come. Watching my original video I’m struck by how much health and looking after myself was a factor in deciding to lose weight and vlog about it, and I’m really glad that looking after myself has remained a priority. I’m happier and more confident, and I think it really shows in my body language and how I treat, talk, and think about myself.
I’ve lost three stone in total, which is 42lbs and 19kg. I’ve also gone from a dress size 18-20 to a 12-16 (I have big hips, so my jeans are still a 16 even though size 16 dresses drown me) and lost a serious amount of inches – 9 inches off my waist alone.
I’ve gone from not doing any exercise to running a 10km, rejoining aikido, storming through the 30 Day Shred and discovering I love yoga. I’ve gone from constantly either eating nothing and feeling miserable or bingeing and feeling guilty to having a healthy, sensible approach to food – which includes some days of not being healthy and sensible at all!
I may still have 42 pounds, or 12 kg, to lose, but I know I can do it.
